Another Weekend Done!

I cant believe how fast these weekends go by sometimes. I did get some stuff done today I balanced my check book and credit card. I replaced Ashleys headlights (I have a mangled thumb to prove it). I cleaned up some crap that has been laying around since our vacation. Watched some poker stuff (let's see if it's any good next weekend). Other than that slept in today and had a restful couple of days. Hope everyone else's weekend was enjoyable. Now all I have to do is prepare for tomorrow and see how this whole walkout thing is going to affect my store.

Uno De Mayo

Well it's not exactly the celebration of seperating from france but this May 1st will have its own major implications. I think that the showing of the Mexican power will be a shock to some people. Think about it this way, lets say that only half of the 11 million "illegals" participate nationwide in marching to their respective city halls and also not purchase from any american establishments. What about the established Mexican people that will also not be at work and also not spend any of their money. Hmm this rings very similar to all those emails that I got about not buying gas for one day as a nation to cripple the gas companies. Well that never happened because you cant get a nation of think for yourself-ers to do anything together. But now you have a very prideful race banding together and you better believe that their response to this issue will be far greater than any weak american attempt at not buying gas for a day. Do not be suprised if you see some drastic hits to companies because of their dependencies to the Mexican people and more importantly their money. I ask this of you who are against or disapprove of their decision, Would you do it if you felt it was your race that was being singled out and being lobbied against?

When you think about it sitemeter is supposed to give you a sense of excitement. You see sitemeter is the device that monitors the visit rate of a given site. This blog for instance has had a total of 140 visitors (including the times that I look at it). that may seem odd to you. Well maybe not since I am the overwhelming highest visitor to the site. Besides the fact that it is my site and all. Well that blows. I have thought that maybe just maybe that I say something funny or intriging enough to get people to revisit my site. I know that I have sent out my info to people I just dont get it. Well anyways this is supposed to be just a blog where I can journalize my life and vent every once in a while. That is what I'm doing right now after all. I had a good week in St. Croix that place is nice and I can now say that I have driven on the other side of the road in America and I didnt cause an accident. Texas this last week was informative and a growing experience for me as a manager and as a person. Hope you all have a good week and enjoy my soon to be rants...

Well I would have to say that this is officially the longest I have gone without a post since I have started posting on Blogger. Not that my site meter reads any different either way. Anyways I thought I would tell the estimated 9 people that visited last week that I FINALLY stopped the streak of 4th place finishes at the Hawkins Poker Party. It is my 3rd First place finish. Wahoo!! Take that 300 add it to the rest of my winnings and I have officially broke even in total money winnings. Double freakin Wahoo!! Not exactly a bank roll but hey I'm not in the red anymore. As for Ashley she won the second tourney of the night but has a little ways to go before she breaks even but damn is she playing good. Sooo what else is going on... Oh yea we are leaving for St. Croix on Friday night. You may be wondering (probably not) why I haven't mentioned this anytime before. Well that last time I gloated about a trip Freakin Hurricane Wilma came by and erradicated our hotel and the rest of Cancun for that matter. But things seem to be pretty cool right now in the good ol' Virgin Islands so we are expectedly stoked. Well until next time good luck and may the Poker Gods still be on my side.
