errant mass email

I did not send an email with some random link it looks like someone hacked my hotmail account. I changed my password but I would highly suggest not clicking on the link in that email because I have no idea what it will do.

Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience.

Geek Post

I don't normally post about WOW but with the new gear coming with the new patch I am excited. I know that it's not all about the numbers but it helps. Although I will say it looks like they designed this gear after some sort of demented bird.

Reno Meetings

OK so ZOMGZ a whole week in Reno can take it out of ya. Let me just say I feel dirty after being in the Casino's in Reno. It is a sad "wanna-be" of the Vegas style. I will say that I did have a good time. The good times were mostly due to the people that were there rather than the events that happened. Let me just say that a week without the internet or being able to play WOW is sucky. I did however have the chance to meet Chris Karney. When you look at his website you will see that he is pretty damn funny. Chris was also extremely approachable, as a matter of fact I was up until 1 in the morning the last night I was there hanging out with him. If you see him coming to a comedy club near you I highly recommend going to go see him as it is worth it.

Short Lived Victory?

As this news post states it seems as though OPEC can no longer handle the decline in American gas usage. Looking into this story it seems to me that we as Americans have shown how huge of an impact we can have on certain industries. I do see it as odd though that in a round about way this latest trend in Gas pricing proves what millions of spam emails have stated. I’m sure that everyone who is reading this has received the countless emails asking for Americans to not buy gas on such and such a day and we would see a such and such result. Who would have believed that (at least in my area) over 2 dollars could be shaved off the price of a gallon of gas by the shear fact that we are travelling less? My question is that this a sign of things to come with fuel efficient (and fuel-less) vehicles, will we see a leveling off of the price of oil? Is it possible for Americans to continue to purchase hybrids and electrics (when they finally become reasonably available) despite the intrinsic American desire to buy the latest biggest and baddest vehicle in the keeping ahead of the Jones’s mentality? That question also brings up a follow-up question. What is the breaking point of fuel miser vehicles on the road that will show a consistent influence on gas pricing? How many millions of cars need to be on the road until we see the desired end result of super low gas prices? Of course this brings up the point initially started in this post, that when OPEC sees a trend that causes them to lose money they will keep cutting production until the oil “thumb” puts enough pressure on the fuel artery. I think a certain trend has started already that OPEC can not turn around quite yet, it is that there are enough of us that just flat out aren’t going out as much and are watching our fuel usage closer than ever. The raising of gas prices in times like this will only perpetuate the lack of American spending.

1.99 a gallon

There was a time that I would swear to anyone that I would never see $1.99 for a gallon of gas. As luck would have it I pass by a gas station here in the NC that is on the bleeding edge of gas pricery. Today as I passed they were selling gas for $1.82 a gallon. With this kind of pace could we possibly see sub 1.00 gas? Highly unlikely but I will take whatever price breaks I can get.

as a side note xmas music is on 24-7 and I love it. that is all

Peace out!

Putting it out there

So with the move to NC almost complete (Ashley moves out in a couple weeks) it is aparrant that making big changes like this come with a LOT of baggage. All I can ask of everyone that knows us is to pray for Ashley to be able to find a job when she gets out here. All I can say is that taking risks isn't normally something I do without huge amounts of planning but even then this risk has seemed to take that strategy and crushed it into the ground. I know that no one could have predicted such a huge change in the economy and such a huge drop in employement. I just know that there is nothing across the board that could have gotten more screwed up for us as this change has. Pray that something good happens to us cause I have had about enough of the bad....

Peace Out
